“To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” ~ Oscar Wilde

Hello Dear One,

Today, I’d like to share with you the story of how I got to where I am and why I decided to start this beautiful business.

I’ve been a nurse for thirteen years. I didn’t start college wanting to be a nurse, but after shadowing a few nurses at the Children’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska, I knew that the nurses were doing the most important and impactful work. After that, I knew it was what I wanted to do.

I knew that I wanted to be connecting with people.

I went to nursing school, graduated, and started working with kids in the hospital psychiatric unit. It was hard and meaningful work. I couldn’t always see the good I was doing, but in the moments I could, it felt like the best gift.

I ended up in a few different places in nursing and then in an administrative career that came with a lot of frustration. I kept feeling like I was hearing and seeing things that needed to change but never with the feeling that I had the power to make meaningful or impactful changes.

Again, all I wanted was to connect with and support people.

When my husband and I decided to move to Minnesota to be closer to family, I took the opportunity to think about what I wanted to do before jumping into another nursing job. I ended up finding a program to get my Master’s that sounded like fun. The courses sounded like classes I would take just for fun.

During the course of that program, I was introduced to health and wellness coaching, and I felt electrified. It was as if something clicked into place, and I found something I hadn’t known was missing.

Coaching is all about connection. When I am coaching people, I get to help them connect with all that is wondrous within them and watch them discover their authenticity and their power. There is no greater gift in the world than that.

I’ve been working on my messaging to help clarify what I do and who I serve in my business, and I would love to share it with you and invite you to share it with others if you feel moved to. (I’d also love to hear any thoughts you have!)

I am a nurse and health and wellbeing coach. I serve frontline workers that feel disconnected from the life they want to be living, and I walk alongside them on their journey to live life authentically with more intention, love, and joy. For me, it's all about finding the buried treasure you hold and reflecting back to you the beauty you have within so you see how much of a gift your truest, most beautiful self is to your loved ones and the world.

When was the last time you felt connected to your truest, most beautiful self, dear one?

If you’re curious about 1:1 coaching or know someone who may be, please reach out to me here for a free 30-minute discovery call. I currently have three open spots for new coaching clients.

I’m so grateful to be a part of your life's journey.

With love and kindness,

Jessica

P.S.

The fun thing I am doing right now to care for myself is reading Dr. Caroline Leaf’s Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess and trying out her Neurocycle app. So far, I love the way she breaks down how we process and manage our thoughts.

P.P.S

This weekend there will be a New Moon and meteor shower! If you can get outside, you’ve got a decent shot at seeing some epic stars! :)
